Jets shoot down S. Ripley in dogfight

VERSAILLES — After leading by as many as 19 early in the second quarter, the Hauser boys basketball team had a dogfight on its hands after Brandon Sizemore of South Ripley hit five 3-pointers in the third.

Sizemore’s last 3 in the quarter — he hit nine in the game — cut the Jet lead to two before Hauser was able to restabilize and pull away in the fourth to win 92-77.

“Each time they made a run, we would get a key bucket or rebound or hit a key free throw and push it back to about 10,” said Hauser coach Bob Nobbe. “That is a good sign for us.”
