Joint pain program planned at office

Follow The Republic:

The Columbus Regional Health Joint and Spine Center is partnering with Southern Indiana Orthopedics to provide a joint health fair and screening through “It’s a Joint Effort” on Sept. 13 at the orthopedic office.

“It’s a Joint Effort” offers participants a free X-ray of the hip or knee to be scheduled and completed prior to the event, and a one-on-one appointment with a doctor to review the X-ray. The event also includes a health fair, seminars, educational materials and a joint care seminar.

The theme for the event is “Don’t Play Around with Joint Pain,” and will incorporate sports- and leisure-themed activities.

Registration is required. Each registrant will schedule the X-ray prior to the day of the event, as well as schedule a block of time on the morning of Sept. 13 for an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon to review the scan and talk about options for joint pain relief.

For more information or to register, call 812-376-9353, ext. 226 or 227.
