Recycling yes! Curbside Recycling no!

We should all recycle when possible to save precious resources. Gasoline should not be wasted to collect recyclables. We all travel to stores for shopping. Recycling containers should be placed in shopping areas for collection of recycled items that can be found at several stores in Columbus.

Clean recycled items can be placed in the bins during trips to the store. Sunday is my day for newspaper recycling because there is a recycle bin at the church.

I routinely take a grocery bag of cans or plastic to the store with me for placement into the recycle bin there. I am fortunate that the store near me has a recycle bin.

While curbside recycling would be convenient, I do not believe it is a good use of our precious fuel resources. Placing recycle bins at local businesses requires no additional fuel use. We all must travel to stores for purchases, so why not recycle there as well.
