Edinburgh’s volleyball team swept past visiting Indian Creek 25-15, 25-23, 25-17 on Thursday night.
The Lancers improved to 21-7 overall and 6-1 in conference play, as Abbi Bryant led the way with 20 kills and four aces.
Jennifer Stinson had 18 kills, and Maile Cox picked up 33 assists.
South Decatur victorious
FAIRLAND — South Decatur won the first two sets easily but then had to go five sets to beat host Triton Central 25-18, 25-22, 20-25, 22-25, 15-6 on Thursday.
South Decatur raised its record to 13-14 overall.
Franklin topples North
FRANKLIN — Host Franklin proved too tough for Columbus North on Thursday as it captured a 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 decision against the Bull Dogs.
For North, Karen Wildemann had 10 assists and two aces, Hayley McMahan picked up six kills, Makinsey Summa had a block, and Devon Roese had 12 digs.
Trinity Lutheran cruises
NEW ALBANY — Sarah Stuckwisch had 12 kills and Liz Hill added nine as Trinity Lutheran downed host Christian Academy of Indiana 25-19, 25-22, 25-16 on Thursday.
Hannah Barker had three aces, and Haylee Barker added two aces for the Cougars.
Trinity Lutheran’s junior varsity lost 25-20, 24-25, 15-13. Taylor Reynolds had seven kills, Kaitlyn Wright had three kills, and Allison Redicker had two kills for the Cougars.
Columbus Christian wins
Nick Bridgewater and Ian Gray scored goals to help make Columbus Christian’s Senior Night a happy occasion on Thursday.
Bridgewater and Andrea Lacy each picked up assists. Keeper Dalane Shaull picked up four saves.
The Crusaders, who begin the Indiana Christian Athletic Schools Tournament next week, honored seniors Jaylon Hilshorst, Craig Walls, Levin Simonton and Neal Andis.
