Law enforcement officers from the Indiana State Police, Columbus Police Department, Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources paid tribute Thursday to law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in the past year.

In a solemn ceremony at the Public Safety Plaza at Second and Jackson streets, the names of the officers were read in the order that they died, including names of federal, state, county and local officers. The list also included law enforcement canines who died in the line of duty.
