To the editor:

I find it harder each day to read the paper or watch the news without questioning what is going on in Washington. Right now the problem at the border with the immigrant children coming from Central America is a very big issue. What is our president talking about today? Climate change.

The article said the Obama administration estimated it would catch 90,000 children by September. It also added that it only returned 2,000 last year.

The administration is also asking Congress for $2 billion for this. We should all be thinking about the diseases and drugs that are being brought into our country.

These immigrant children will be given food, shelter, clothes and education. We should also be thinking about who made the decision to put these immigrant children above our American citizens and veterans who need help and can’t get it.

I think our money would be better spent to put them on a plane and fly them back to the country they came from. We should tell these countries in Central America to put a stop to it on their end or we will cut off funding.

I know this sounds hard, but America is in debt, and we need to start taking care of ourselves and quit thinking we can take care of the world. We are going broke helping countries that want us dead.
