Here we are again, another anniversary year missing our brother, Walter Smith Jr., aka Tom. It is so very hard to absorb the fact that this is year No. 7. Still no one coming forward with information to let us find our brother. I just don’t understand how people can just stay silent. All I want is for our brother, Tom, to be found. We have had to accept the fact that Tom is no longer alive and not going to walk up to our door. But the even harder part is not being able to lay him to rest beside our mom and dad.
How cruel it is for people to put our family through this. No words can describe how this feels. I just can’t and don’t understand. We will never give up hope of finding Tom. I know in my heart that one day he will be found. I just ask please if you know something or have heard something, call Detective Clark at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
Knowing stuff or hearing things that need to be told does not point the finger at you, nor does it mean you are involved. But it is wrong to keep it to yourself. Do the right thing. Help us find and bring our brother, Tom, home.
We will be having “Walter’s Wash” from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Flat Rock Fire Department. This is donation-based. Any and all donations are accepted and appreciated. The donations will go to In Hope Indiana Missing. They are used to help families with any need they have, printing fliers, travel, bringing awareness events. So I hope you will take the time to come and show your support. I pray one day that we will all have resolution and no more missing.
