With many of your readers’ New Year’s resolutions under way, I’m hoping to reach those individuals who are still struggling, have slipped and given up already — or still are procrastinating at getting started — with their vow to kick the nicotine habit in 2013.

If the state of Indiana can take that giant step, so can you.

You’re in luck! Beginning Jan. 17, our eight-week community cessation classes started. Whether you chew or smoke that expensive and smelly stuff, we can help you learn to live free of its clutches. Weekly participants may qualify for free cessation medication assistance.

This program is made possible through the generous support of the Bartholomew County Health Department in cooperation with Reach Healthy Communities and the Tobacco Awareness Action Team.

Are you a business, church or organization that would like to host an eight-week session for your members? We can help with that, too!

Got questions? Ready to register? Contact me at 379-4927 so you can reach all your goals tobacco-free in 2013.
