I have wanted to send this letter for some time now. I was a battered woman and spent about 45 days in your wonderful city. First let me say that Turning Point, where I was housed, is a wonderful facility with a staff that is second to none. They are loving, understanding and very well-trained.
Having said that, I would like to thank all the people of Columbus for their generous donations to Turning Point and the women who depend on the kindness of strangers.
It is a very difficult time for women like me, and your fair city was so welcoming and warm. If I could have stayed there, I most definitely would have. I had a chance to walk around and was always greeted with a smile and a hello.
I was also helped greatly by Centerstone. It was responsible for finding me a place to live and has continued to help me with my therapy. Centerstone is a great resource your city has to offer.
In closing, let me say thank you to all the citizens of Columbus. Your city stands above so many others!
