In the May 27 issue of The Republic, my community columnist article concerning roadside junk directed attention to what I believed to be a damaged telephone cable junction box in the little island where the southbound Interstate 65 exit intersects State Road 46.
Well, today, Aug. 12, I passed that intersection, and lo and behold, the junk box has disappeared.
I would like to thank whomever was responsible for this cleanup. I am sure visitors and competitors for the upcoming marathon will not notice the absence of the little green junk box. However, on the other hand, they won’t see it.
Again, thanks; your action was noticed.
