I am dismayed to read the newspaper article on the confined feeding lot being considered for Bartholomew County. I would urge the commissioners to vote against such an operation.

Why would anyone want to create problems that type of an operation would cause?

Do they not realize that would devalue the property of innocent neighbors, create unbearable smells, increase road traffic, environmental issues and set yet another precedent that will infuriate taxpaying property owners who only want to enjoy their property in a clean and pleasant environment?

Once approved, additional operations would be asking for variances. Bartholomew County already is noted for allowing problem neighbors to ruin property value of others.

Haven’t the citizens of Bartholomew County suffered enough due to the poor judgment of elected officials?
