I was truly awed by Cummins Inc.’s Community Involvement Six Sigma project at BCSC highlighted in The Republic on Aug. 20. Through modifications to optimize the power train system on all of its buses, BCSC could potentially glean annual fuel efficiency savings estimated conservatively at $45,000 without compromising performance or safety. This initiative truly brings Cummins’ vision to life: “Making people’s lives better by unleashing the power of Cummins.”

Imagine the value proposition in rolling out this initiative across school corporations throughout our country and internationally. This is a win not just for our community and our school corporation; reducing costs in a way that is friendly to our environment is a potential win for every school corporation with buses powered by diesel fuel and every community.

Imagine every Fortune 500 company making this kind of impact in their respective communities and across our country.

We are blessed to have this benevolent giant in our community. And all who choose to invest in Cummins stock are benefiting financially from the value of Cummins technology, innovation and leadership.
