The right of the people to keep and bear arms is being infringed upon. Current legislation on the matter proves both redundant and ineffective. The assault weapons ban of a decade ago should suffice as statistical proof that comprehensive bans do not curb violent crime rates.

Recent tragedies have seen our constitutional rights further eroded away by policies based on a perfect world.

This type of activity was seen after 9/11 when our freedom of information and rights against unreasonable search and seizure came under attack in the from of the Patriot Act.

The time to make sweeping decisions that affect us all is not while we are emotionally reeling from tragedy, but when we can clearly see the big picture.

Call your representatives and tell them not to tighten gun control because of the actions of a few wicked individuals. It will not work, and only law-abiding citizens will be punished. Tell your friends: We the people are a force for good.

Think your friends should see this? Share it with them!
