I would like to take the opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to the citizens of the city of Columbus and Bartholomew County for allowing me the honor and privilege of serving as their public servant for the past 38 years.

My position at Columbus Fire Department has been a richly rewarding experience, providing me with the trust and camaraderie of other firefighters, law enforcement and EMS personnel and providers.

I would also like to extend a very special thanks and recognition to some of my mentors, Chuck Welch, Ken Greenlee, Larry McCord, Jim Miller, Jim Williams and Larry Whitlock, who with their experience and passion for their duty to serve helped pave the career path that I chose and devoted my life to.

To all of my friends and crew of the Station 2 and C-shift family, thanks for your friendship and the memories. It is my intention to stay involved in various areas of service, but at an easier pace.

Once again, thank you all for a great ride.
