I am a former, longtime resident of Columbus, and I just learned that the Duck Dynasty group will be coming to town today.

Several months ago on TV, I heard the eldest member of the family make terribly inflammatory and racial statements. I then watched the show to see what it was about and heard the same man offer prayer before his family, seated at the table, ate their meal. This seems to me to be hypocrisy at its worst. Christians are supposedly followers of the precepts Jesus left with us, and I don’t remember him saying we should discriminate against another person because of the color of her/his skin, ethnic background, religion or sexual orientation.

My personal protest is not to attend the performance, pray Jesus will change the heart of the person who made the discriminatory statements and hope he will make a genuine public apology.
