My granddaughter and I have been going to the ponds behind Centra on National Road for several weeks now to see the geese and take pictures of them. On May 6, there were so many geese and goslings we could not count them all. We got some great pictures.

Now most of the geese are gone and so are all of the goslings. We are very concerned as to what has happened to them. Since the goslings cannot fly, they could not have left on their own.

That means someone must have taken them, but where and why? The geese that remain there are very frightened whenever they see humans, and previously that was not the case.

If anyone knows what happened to them, could you please contact me at 376-7964 or contact DNR. If they were harmed, the people who did it should be prosecuted.

They were harming no one and providing so much pleasure to those of us who love all of God’s creatures.
