I am not as concerned about the competition an outside health care facility will give the local doctors as I am about the quality and availability for local residents.

Health care is a business just like any other business and should be handled as such by people who are business qualified. If it can’t stand the heat, it should get out of the kitchen.

Competition, as a rule, will open up opportunities for discussion, as the Republic made this an issue in its reporting.

I find no fault with a no-comment stance that St. Francis has until they know what they are up against.

I for one wish them well. If you can’t trust a medical staff, who can you trust?
