We, as human beings, are sometimes quick to complain. We should be just as quick to compliment, or in military jargon, give kudos. On April 11, I sent a letter to the city engineer concerning dangerous potholes.
Wednesday as I was exiting the subdivision I noticed a crew hard at work repairing the potholes. I stopped and told them I had sent a letter concerning the potholes and wanted to thank them. One of the men indicated that he was the supervisor and with a large grin stated, “You’re welcome!” He added that he had my letter in the cab of his truck so that they would make sure they found the right spot.
Thursday I inspected the finished work and found it to be highly professional. I believe that is a true spirit of cooperation and wise use of our tax dollars.
Kudos to the street repair team for their timely response.
