Our community could have done without the paper’s endorsement of the president in the “Grade the Candidates” article. Mr. Pitman and Mr. Neville-Shepherd are entitled to their opinions, and it is fine to focus attention on the debates.

However, manufacturing a grade by averaging the marks these two gentlemen gave the candidates and publishing that grade does not serve a positive purpose. The comment section was overwhelmingly critical of Romney while giving Obama a pass, which leads me to believe the piece was very biased.

I hope everyone who votes will watch all of the debates and learn from the candidates’ own words how each would lead the country rather than being overly influenced by the opinions/biases of those in the media.
