To the editor:

As a Sears retiree of over 25 years, it saddens me to see it come to an end here in Columbus. Those who spent a good many years dedicated to the company will miss the friendship, fun and the Sears family. Sears Columbus was a great place to work.

We had incentives to do our best, and we did. We had skating parties, picnics, pizza parties, all in the name of family fun. When it came to customer service, we did our best, and we had each other’s backs.

It will be difficult to realize an era has ended, but we go on. The retirees today meet for lunch once a month to reminisce and enjoy each other’s company. After all, we do have many good memories to recount and lots of hugs to share. We are family.

Think your friends should see this? Share it with them!
