I recently served as a delivery person here in Columbus.
While on the job, I would occasionally encounter an address that I could not easily locate.
Because of this, I wanted to write a letter urging residents of Columbus to take a minute and consider how easily recognizable your house numbers are for delivery people.
These might be for pizza, newspaper, UPS, FedEx, florists and other important
Please for a minute consider each of the following questions:
1.) Are your house numbers big enough that they are visible from the street?
2.) Are there plants, brush or holiday decorations obstructing the sight of your house numbers?
3.) Will the numbers be visible in the early hours of the day or late at night?
Even more important than delivery people, please at least consider these questions with emergency personnel in mind.
It could be more important than you think.
Don't settle for a preview.
