Enough! The bashing, criticism, insinuations against our mayor and the sensationalist and one-sided reporting are wrong, brutal, unfounded and unjust. These actions targeted toward Kristen Brown most of all are totally unfair to her, a mayor who has the interest, growth and well-being of Columbus at heart and who is delivering results and much-needed change with accountability, transparency and fiscal responsibility.

Is this Mayberry RFD? I guess it is. We are privileged to have Brown as our major leading the city. It is very clear to me that she has the knowledge, insight, experience and savvy for Columbus to be the best city of its size in the U.S.A.

Changes that she is trying to implement are not without pain. She has already accomplished much more than the previous, do nothing, administrations have ever accomplished because they wanted to not rock the boat and get re-elected. She is basically having to clean up the many years of ills that our city has been plagued with in just one term.

And by the way, I notice that no one is talking about the $4 million she appropriated to the parks department for repairs that need to be done, that should have been done years ago. This includes the roof on Hamilton Center, to name just one.

Thanks, Chuck Wilt, for your history lesson on the parks department; the city could not have survived without that. I will not pray for the parks department; it is alive and well. I would rather pray for someone who has cancer. I also notice that the mayor had numerous people wanting to be on the Parks Board to fill the vacancies. That should tell us something.

I also notice that the almighty City Council appears to be above criticism and not approachable or accountable for its actions. Why is that?

Kristen Brown has taken the high road through all of this parks department stupidity. She has not spent time defending herself, but rather continuing to focus on the job to be done. I only hope that she will run for a second term.
