Joe Meek is the qualified, experienced candidate for judge of Superior Court 1. Joe has been magistrate for nine years and has been a special judge in many cases in nearby counties. This experience uniquely qualifies him to be the next judge in Superior Court.

Unlike a police officer or a prosecutor, a judge must be impartial and must not be an advocate. Most of the cases heard in Superior Court are civil cases, not criminal. Joe’s experience hearing these kinds of cases as a magistrate is invaluable to being prepared on day one.

Another factor that many people forget is that a judge also must manage a court staff, making the court run as smoothly as possible.

Courts need to listen to the parties, carefully consider the facts and the law, and make decisions affecting people’s lives. This is a very serious business.

I’ve known Joe for 30 years, I’ve watched him perform his duties, and I know he’s the best candidate to be judge.
