During my seven-year tenure as superintendent of Muscatatuck State Hospital and Training Center, I came to know Jon Oldham quite well.
Whenever the possibility of a crime being committed at the facility came to my attention, I was bound by law to notify the state police.
Jon Oldham was often the officer who responded, and I strongly echo the views expressed by Ed Reuter. Jon was a highly ethical individual who always conducted a thorough investigation while still retaining thoughtful reflection and a sense of humor.
I was so impressed by him that years later I used his police persona in a novel I wrote and published.
I was saddened when I learned of his passing. I am grateful I had an opportunity to know him. I am confident I am not alone.
Don't settle for a preview.
