I have been observing the controversy going on between the mayor and the City Council. As a student of human nature, I know how human beings act collectively in a group, contrasted with how they act as individuals. As individuals, they always exhibit more wisdom than the City Council is exhibiting at the present time.

I believe that any fair-minded person can see that the mayor has made wise decisions. But that doesn’t get any praise from the City Council. By opposing the mayor, the members can feed their egos and get attention.

Now maybe I am a little prejudiced in the mayor’s favor. If so, it is because of the way the City Council manhandled me a few years ago when I was preaching on the street. It exhibited nothing but contempt and no understanding at all of what I was trying to accomplish.

The members were so proud and boasted of the way they had put down The Old Prophet. In fact, one of their members with glee boasted to me how they had to put The Old Prophet out of business.

So my advice to voters of Columbus: In the next election put them all out of business. Replace them with fair-minded, honest people who will help the mayor run the city government instead of opposing everything she does.
