What a wonderful evening it was at the Columbus High School Class of 1973’s 40-year class reunion, renewing old friendships and making new ones. We had a very big class, so it was difficult to remember and recognize everyone.
Most hadn’t really changed much. There was a little less hair and a lot of graying hair (mine included), but the hearts were still the same. I would like to thank the people responsible for this great party. I think everyone had a nice time. It was my favorite yet.
We had another classmate, Don Williams, whose band played at the Garage Pub & Grill after the reunion, where we hung out and danced. Debbie Zink Rust, another classmate, also entertained us with song and was accompanied by other members of our class. By the way, Barney Quick, you were a great master of ceremonies.
I’ve lived in Texas for 20 years, but Columbus will always be my home. Y’all rock, the last graduating class of Columbus High School.
