As we prepare to exercise our right to vote on May 6, we should carefully inform ourselves regarding the positions, experience and integrity of each of the candidates running for office. All too often, our votes are based on name recognition from commercials or yard signs rather than truly knowing what a candidate stands for.

Few publicly elected officials are more critical to the safety and well-being of our local communities than the sheriff. It is so important to elect a sheriff with the right experience. We believe that Todd Noblitt offers that experience as a 24-year veteran of the sheriff’s office.

He has literally advanced through the ranks and is currently serving as second in command. We have known Noblitt and his family for many years, watching them serve in this community in so many capacities. He has displayed great leadership, integrity and commitment to Bartholomew County. If he is elected to serve the community as sheriff, we will have a man who will serve the community to the best of his ability.

We urge you to vote for Todd Noblitt for sheriff.

Don't settle for a preview.
