Attention, all Bartholomew County veterans. The Bartholomew County Commissioners are planning to have a full-time veterans service officer, effective Jan. 1, 2013.
It is disgraceful to all veterans of this county that they also plan to replace Judy, a 12-plus-year loyal employee of this office.
Is this the honorable way to treat a veterans advocate who has faithfully assisted county veterans?
The commissioners presently have a part-time veterans service officer who never works in the office nor, to my knowledge, has ever assisted a veteran with a claim with the VA.
All veterans should contact these commissioners immediately before it is too late and we lose a dedicate advocate for us.
