The primary election will be held in Columbus on May 6. Among the electoral positions is judge of Bartholomew Superior Court 2. I ask that you consider casting your vote for Judge Kathleen “Kitty” Coriden. She has proven in the past nine years of serving as judge that she is not only capable to serve as judge of Bartholomew Superior Court 2 but that she does so in a compassionate, fair-minded and ethical manner.

I have known Coriden for more than 20 years. In addition to her legal qualifications, her personal commitment to the community through numerous volunteer committees and her overall love for our city enhances the educational qualifications she possesses. She also has a personal commitment to the financial concerns of the county taxpayer. Every year she was able to keep the budget in line and bring money into the county, returning money to the General Fund.

Also, in regards to this nonsense regarding Coriden switching parties, might I remind you that the Bartholomew County Republican Central Committee welcomed her to the party. This foolishness is nothing more than a smoke screen to divert voters from focusing on her qualifications and experiences.

Voters, let’s not take a chance on her opponents who do not hold the legal, life and judicial experience that Coriden does, experiences that have proven to be essential for a successful judge of Bartholomew County. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
