We moved into the Oakbrook area of Tipton Lakes five years ago and are so blessed to enjoy so many families of ethnic backgrounds. Living only one block from the park, I spend many evenings watching numerous families and their children interact with each other. Language and sharing have no barriers. These kids arrive from morning to evening. What joy they have playing together. It makes me so proud of our parks.

Last summer I noticed our sign and a few benches were rotting, and I was put in contact with Ben Wagner at Parks and Rec. We met on a few occasions, and he took such professional interest in Oakbrook and family needs: the playground, trees, safe walking paths and the most recent addition, a donated gazebo. What a treasure we had in Ben as the leader of Parks and Rec.

We appreciate all he has done for our community and our children.
