I live on South State Road 7. I notice there is so much trash along the highway, it looks like a dumping ground. It seems we no longer care what our roads look like. We have trash, throw it along the highway and who cares? So what if it goes in someone’s yard? What ever happened to “Keep America Beautiful?”
Are there still fines for littering? I don’t see signs anymore with the amount of the fine. Maybe this is the reason people feel safe in throwing their trash everywhere. I’m sure this is not the only trashy highway in Indiana, but what has happened that it is OK to throw our trash anyplace we want to?
I’m sure the people throwing the trash would not want the trash in their yard or right in front of their house, would they? They should think of that next time they stick their hand out of the window with trash in it.
Don't settle for a preview.
