Letter: Writer right on diversity, use of natural resources

To the editor:

Barney Quick’s last column was right on the money. Diversity doesn’t need to be organized by the city government. It best happens just by interaction and respect for others.

His take on the use of natural resources was also so correct, even if a few think it will destroy the planet.

What if industry spent as much time and money developing a renewable energy system as it does on the next great cellphone, which happens every six months?

We export refined gas and oil and at the same time import half of our crude oil. We should be producing all of our crude.
