Here we go again. Every year at this time we are faced with the threat of shutting down our government. Now they have done it. It does not make a difference if it is the Democrats or the Republicans.
We are all citizens of the greatest country in the world. The problem is there are elected officials we have sent to Washington to do a job that is not being done.
The fault, then, is that of “we the people” who vote in every election and rubber-stamp the same people back in office. The time has come for “we the voters” to send those who have been there for many years home to their rocking chairs.
The news is always about our elected officials in Washington acting like children arguing over their marbles. I am 83 years old and have lived and worked in Columbus my whole life.
Let’s stop voting for those who need to go home. We keep giving them a paycheck each month. They are doing little to show they earn it.
I am sure there are an enormous number of young/middle-age men and women qualified to hold these offices and give us all a fresh view on things.
