As a staff member of the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp., I support and endorse Superintendent John Quick’s and Franklin Superintendent David Clendening’s opposition to allowing guns in vehicles on school property. Besides that, I stand with all teachers, principals, students and parents who recognize the danger of this proposal.

Gun owners who “can’t always remove their firearms from their vehicles when visiting a school” (according to Rep. Jim Lucas, R-Seymour) should be told to park several blocks away from the school and walk to the school grounds.

Problem solved.
