The deadline to apply for the 2014 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship is 4 p.m. Friday.
Completed applications must be received at the Heritage Fund — The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County, 538 Franklin St., Columbus.
Lilly Scholarships provide full tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis that lead to a baccalaureate degree at any accredited Indiana public or private college or university. Up to two Lilly Scholarships will be awarded to Bartholomew County students in 2014.
Applicants must live in Bartholomew County; plan to graduate with a diploma from a public or private Indiana high school between the start of the 2013-14 school year and the end of June 2014; have at least a 9.0 GPA on a 12.0-point scale or a 3.33 GPA on a 4.0-point scale; and demonstrate school involvement, community service, good character and leadership skills.
Applications are available at heritagefundbc.org, and students are encouraged to complete the form online. Printed copies are available in the guidance offices of Bartholomew County high schools and Trinity Lutheran High School.
