Local figure skaters pass tests

Lincoln Center Skate Club members traveled to Indianapolis this weekend to test at the World Skating Academy.

Mike Freed passed the Tango test, while Molly Fry and Iris Thompson passed American Waltz. Rachel Foley passed Fox trot and 14 step, while Kasey Wilhoit passed Juvenile FS and Taylor Manley passed Juvenile MIF as well as Pre Juvenile FS.

BOWLING

High score series of 652 leads Monday night competition

In Monday Night Church League at Columbus Bowling Center, Jim Miller rolled the high score series of 652. Miller was followed by Anthony Shaull (648), Vern Phillips (632), John Zieleniuk (630), Steve Shroyer (605), Charley Placke (597), Allen Smith (596), Dick Butler (583), David Apple (580) and Fred Emmert (580).

Hope First Baptist leads the standings, followed by Second Baptist, Garden City #1, Free Methodist #1 and Face to Face.

In Wednesday Sport League action, Chris Jones rolled the men’s high series of 715, followed by James Mitchell (610), Bob Anderson (558), Clint Million (525), Ryan Pepmeier (521) and Jeremy Adler (496).

Shannon Antcliff rolled the women’s high series of 587, followed by Teresa Million with 475.

Revenge had the team high game of 581, followed by Can’t Believe It’s Not Gutter with 567.

Revenge also had the team high score series of 1,627, followed by Can’t Believe It’s Not Gutter with 1,581.

Revenge leads the standings at 162-98, followed by Team #4 (151.5-108.5) and Can’t Believe It’s Not Gutter (144-116).

In Tuesday Men’s League 5000 to Win action, R.J. Lambert rolled the high series of 737, followed by Chris Jones (722), Rick Wilson Jr. (718), John Hall (681), John Zieleniuk (678), Branden Whited (678), Darrell Wheeler (672), Henry Schultz Jr. (650), Charlie Miller (648), Mark Weisner (648), Ryan Robertson (639), Henry Schultz III (637), Brian Phillips (632), Chris Gray (632) and Randy Rudzinski (623).

Independents rolled the high team game of 1,266, followed by Liquor Box with 1,252 and Boyer Machine and Tool with 1,223.

Independents also rolled the team high series of 3,653, followed by Boyer Machine and Tool with 3,521 and Liquor Box with 3,511.

Budget Auto Painting leads the standings at 80-32, followed by “Oh Well” (76-36), Bob Poynter/Arizona Sports Shirts (74-38) and Advantage Heating and Air (72-40).

BROOMBALL

Flying Zambonis hold Yoopers to single goal

The Flying Zambonis downed the Yoopers 4-1 as Brian Plunckett scored twice and Kelsey Pugh and Shawn Bauman added single goals. Ryan Siegring scored the Yoopers’ only goal.

Our Name is Earl beat Toxic Monkeys 3-1 as Ryan Putnam, Ryan Gray and Dane Bremer all scored a goal.

The Rock Pile drubbed CCA Kutters 8-0 as Rob Luck had a hat trick, Brent Gordon scored twice, and Tyler Douthitt, Matt Street and Todd Houchin all scored once.

Hanson’s beat Toyota 3-1. Greg McNealy had the only goal for Toyota.
