Bartholomew County's labor market continues to improve, with employers adding jobs and fewer people looking for work.
The unemployment rate in July was 6.2 percent, down from 7.4 percent in July 2011, according to data released today by Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Local employers provided 39,985 jobs in July, up about 2,000 from a year earlier. The number of job seekers fell to 2,643, down 405 from July 2011.
