Jennings golf team offering kids camp at St. Anne’s

The Jennings County High School golf team will host kids golf camps from 5 to 6:15 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and July 7 to 9 at St. Anne’s.

Decatur Golf Tournament scheduled in Greensburg

The Hospice of Decatur/Shelby 20th annual Decatur Golf Tournament will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greensburg Country Club.

Cost is $75 per player

or $300 per team and

includes greens fees, sack lunch and dinner.

Critzer Memorial event planned at Otter Creek

The 29th annual Andy Critzer Memorial Golf Tournament will be at noon Friday at Otter Creek.

Cost is $500 per team or $125 for a hole sponsorship and includes lunch, dinner and prizes. The tournament has funded 33 college scholarships for Columbus East, Columbus North and Hauser graduates.

Dave Galle Memorial event seeking players, sponsors

The second Dave Galle Memorial Golf Classic will be June 23 at Otter Creek. There will be a morning flight at 8 a.m. and an afternoon flight at 1:30 p.m.

Cost is $500 per foursome and includes eight tickets to the celebration dinner and reception on June 22, as

well as greens fees, cart, range balls, breakfast, lunch, prizes and on-course contests. Hole sponsorships are available for $250.

St. Bartholomew to host

Sun Run 5K run and walk

The 15th annual Sun Run 5K run and walk will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.

Cost is $25 with a T-shirt and $20 without a T-shirt. Preregistration is available at and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 20 and beginning at 6:30 a.m. June 21 at the church.

North to host volleyball

camp for all skill levels

The Columbus North High School Volleyball Skills Summer Camp will be June 23 to 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. for girls entering Grades 2 to 5 and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for girls entering Grades 6 to 8.

The camp is for all skill levels and will be directed by high school coaches and players. Cost is $50 by June 14 and includes a T-shirt, or $55 after June 14.

IU hosting basketball camps for young players this summer

Indiana University basketball coach Tom Crean will host several camps this summer, beginning with instruction and competition camps for Grades 4 to 12 from June 23 to 26 and June 28 to July 1.

The Little Hoosiers Basketball Academy for Grades K to 3 will have sessions from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 16 to 19 and

July 21 to 23.

The Family Fantasy Weekend will be Aug. 22 to 24. Registration is limited and is due by July 1.

Fellowship of athletes

to host Leadership Camp

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host a Leadership Camp July 14 to 16 at Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell

for students entering Grades

7 to 12.

The Leadership Camp will focus on enabling students to become leaders in their local FCA Huddles, on their teams, in their schools, communities and churches.

Coaches, adult Huddle leaders and volunteers are welcome to attend the training that is especially designed for them and their training roles in FCA.

The camp will feature Indianapolis Colts community spokesman Iraq War

Shadowood course to host Anchor House Golf Outing

The inaugural Anchor House Golf Outing will be at 1 p.m. July 18 at Shadowood. Lunch will be at 11 a.m., and registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Cost is $75 per person and includes greens fees, cart, range balls, prize drawings, lunch and a photo, with proceeds benefiting the Anchor House Family Assistance Center. There will be contests with prizes, including a 2014 Cadillac for a hole-in-one winner.

State 5K championships scheduled for summer

USA Track and Field will host the Indiana Association 5K Championship on Aug. 23 at St. Maria Goretti Church

in Westfield.
