There’s just one more holiday left in 2012, and here’s your local guide to ringing in the new year.

If dancing is your thing, swing by the fifth annual Crump New Year’s Eve celebration. Open to ages 18 and older, the event will feature acoustic guitar, reggae and electronic dance music performances by Michael Kelsey; Howard, Lewis & Lovins and Eumatik among others.

Beverages from Powerhouse Brewing, Co. will be available for purchase for those 21 and older. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Free shuttle service to and from the Crump all evening for those staying at The Clarion Hotel, 2480 Jonathan Moore Pike. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Information: 376-8429.

Usher in the new year with laughter at the YES Comedy Showcase, featuring Drew Hastings, to benefit the Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center. Performing at 7 and 9:30 p.m., Hastings will share personal stories and anecdotes peppered with a touch of political incorrectness.

After the second performance, YES will show the famous ball drop in Times Square, and provide complimentary party favors. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Alcohol and concessions will be available for purchase.

The Story Inn will host an elegant farewell to 2012 with a sumptuous prix fixe menu and entertainment by Indiana University music professor Pat Harbison and his jazz band.

Located at 6404 State Road 135 South just outside of Nashville, the Inn is offering two dinners and a party in the tavern to welcome 2013. Dinner will be served 5 and 7:30 p.m; the early bird dinner is casual and $75 per person and the late, formal dinner is $100. Price excludes tax, tip, and a $25 party cover. Or, if you’d like, pay just the cover and you can attend only the after dinner party from 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Formal attire required.
