NORTH VERNON — A North Vernon man was arrested on a charge of battery after North Vernon police responded to a call involving a battery.
At about 10 p.m. Wednesday, North Vernon Police Department officers responded to the 400 block of Greensburg Street after receiving a report of a male who had been beaten and was covered in blood. Officers found a 23-year-old male with injuries to his head, hand and back. Police learned that a rolling pin was used in the assault, and the suspect had left the scene before police arrived, according to a media release from the North Vernon Police Department.
Early Thursday, North Vernon police located and arrested Brian Edmondson, 45, of North Vernon on charges of battery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Class D felony, and intimidation, a Class A misdemeanor.
