Samuel Allman, 40, of Columbus, has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to child molesting.
Bartholomew Circuit Judge Stephen Heimann sentenced Allman of 200 Jones St. last week.
Allman will get credit for 161 days already spent in jail. He also will have to pay $168 in court costs and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, the judge ruled.
Heimann recommended that the state Department of Correction put Allman in a sex offender management and monitoring program and substance abuse treatment.
Allman pleaded guilty last month to child molesting as a Class C felony. He could have been sentenced to up to eight years in prison and fined as much as a $10,000.
