Man injured in fall from ladder

A Bartholomew County man with back injuries was airlifted by Stat Air at 9 p.m. Saturday to Indianapolis’ St. Vincent Hospital.

Scott D. Wade, 45, of East County Road 950 North, was reroofing his house at about 8:40 p.m. when he was climbing a ladder that pulled away from the roof and caused Wade to land on his back, according to police. He fell about 20 feet. Hope and Flat Rock Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the call along with the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department.
