A Shelbyville man faces felony charges in the shooting death of a Michigan teenager following a grand jury indictment on Friday.
Jason Bagley, 41, allegedly fired the shot that killed 17-year-old Brandon J. Spangler, of Flushing, Mich., in late December, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
Spangler had been playing paintball on Bagley’s property with his father, Mark Spangler, of Greenwood, when the shooting occurred.
Following the indictment, Bagley turned himself in Friday evening at the Shelby County Jail, according to the release.
He faces charges of criminal recklessness causing serious bodily injury, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and obstruction of justice.
