Q: If I am a runner or walker, is there a place to check my things at the start line?
A: Yes, the gear check-in truck will be located near the start, at Fifth and Brown streets, from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Sept. 28.
After the start of the races, the truck will be located just south of the finish line chutes at Fifth and Jackson streets from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bags not claimed by 3 p.m. on race day will be taken to Ken Long & Associates offices in Greenwood and held until Oct. 15. After this date, the leftover bags, including the contents, will be given to charity. Runners should not leave valuables, cash, credit cards or jewelry in their gear bags.
The event organizers or Ken Long & Associates are not responsible for lost or stolen bags or items.
