After an Edinburgh police officer smelled marijuana in a house, officers returned for a search later and found multiple kinds of drugs.
Police arrested Jeffrey S. Vincent, 36, on two charges of possession of cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine and charges of unlawful sale of a legend drug, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Officers went to the house in the 400 block of Center Park Drive at 5 p.m. Monday when an ambulance was called for a woman who was unresponsive. An officer smelled burned marijuana while inside the house, Edinburgh Police Chief David Mann said.
The officer got a search warrant and returned to the house about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, Mann said. Police found heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications, syringes and glass smoking pipes, Mann said.
Vincent, 409 Center Park Drive, Edinburgh, was arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was being held on $14,000 bond.
