COLUMBUS, Ind. — A second neighborhood meeting for residents in the 11th and Washington streets area is 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Red Room at the Bartholomew County Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus.
Three main topics that will be discussed, according to a city media release, are:
Efforts to improve the neighborhood north of downtown began after police received more than 1,600 calls concerning possible criminal activity in that area since January. The neighborhood produces the city’s second-most number of complaints, mostly about drugs and property crimes, police said previously.
