Military NewsSeaman Recruit Carlos Bustos recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. His training included instruction in naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety, as well as physical fitness. Bustos is the son of Raquel Pasillas and Carlos O. Bustos, both of Seymour. He is a 2012 graduate of Seymour High School.

Seaman Recruit Ramsey S. Martin, a 2012 graduate of Columbus North High School, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. His training included instruction in naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety, as well as physical fitness.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Cody M. Carlin, son of Tammy L. Carlin Lemasters of Greensburg and Jason W. Myers of Zephyrhills, Fla., recently returned from a 7½-month assignment with the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group in the Mediterranean and Arabian seas. The ship will be deactivated today after 51 years of service and 25 deployments.
