COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County REMC has restored power to about 708 customers in the German Township area south of Taylorsville, said Marty Lasure, manager of public relations and marketing services.
A morning thunderstorm caused a circuit at the substation to go out, and knock out power for the customers, Lasure said.
Duke Energy spokesman Chip Orben said power has been restored to 41 customers in the Sims Addition off of Central. They were without power because of a blown fuse caused by lightening from this morning's thunderstorm. The fuse was replaced, Orben said.
Only a few one and two-customer spots are without power, Orben added.
