Author John Pesta will speak about writing, publishing and his latest book, “Safely Buried,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Red Room at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St.
The novel is a mystery set in a fictionalized version of Jackson County, where the former publisher of The Brownstown Banner has lived since 1971.
Winner of the 2012 Best Books of Indiana award for fiction, “Safely Buried” also received a silver medal award in the mystery/cozy/noir category from the 2012 Independent Publisher Book Awards and honorable mention at the 2012 London Book Festival.
