Two Columbus neighborhoods, which have been having holiday parades for decades, are planning their annual events on July 4. The public is invited.

Mead Village, just north of National Road at Westenedge Drive, will have its 53rd annual parade at 10 a.m. with children’s bikes and wagons, residents’ decorated vehicles, plus police and sheriff’s departments cars. The parade will begin at the neighborhood park on Locust Drive.

Nearby addition Forest Park will line up its neighborhood entries at 9 a.m., and the parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. at 3373 Woodland Parkway. Games are planned after the parade.
